Queen of veggies retail display competition off to a flying start

All the entries received in week one of the five-week, Queen of veggies retail display competition were so good that each entrant will receive $100 for their social club or a morning tea.
‘We hope this move will encourage more entries, as we enter week two,’ says Vegetables NZ communications manager, Andrew Bristol.
‘We had more than 10 entries in week one. This is a great start, but we’d like to see many more retailers get involved as the season and competition progress.
‘Asparagus this year is great quality and already in good supply. What better way to Add One More Vegetable to a meal!’
Week one’s winner of the grand prize of $500 was Farro Mt Wellington, in Lunn Ave Auckland (as pictured).
How does it work?
- Simply design and set up an impressive Queen of Veggies stall in your produce department. Get creative and think outside the box to form a display that will stand out to both customers and the competition judges at Vegetables NZ.
