Vegetables NZ research, development and extension manager, Daniel Sutton will provide an overview of projects and share outputs from Vegetables NZ's work, including the Pukekohe Demonstration Farm, biodiversity, and minor crop evaluations, etc.

A Lighter Touch agroecological technical lead, Jeff Smith will provide an overview of A Lighter Touch, including projects that provide cross sector benefits to vegetable growers.

4pm | PICMI presentation 

Imagine if signing up seasonal workers was as simple as sending them a link? 

Picmi – paperless seasonal hiring – has been conducting a pilot with vegetable growers who are part of the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme.

The Picmi tool keeps all an employer’s RSE or fixed term employment information in one place. Not only does it ease the admin burden, it also makes working with Immigration NZ and MSD a lot easier.

Come along and hear from the growers about how Picmi can remove the pain involved in contracting seasonal workers.
